Your scripts

Everything a Reel
is made of.

Type one line about your topic and read the result like a shot list, not a blog post.

A hook, with its formula named

The first two seconds decide everything. Each script labels the pattern it used, so you can reuse it later without the tool.

Beat-by-beat timing

Every beat gets a timestamp and one job. If a beat needs more than eight seconds, it is two beats pretending to be one.

On-screen text for mute

Most Reels are watched with the sound off. Each beat comes with three to five words of on-screen text, not a transcript.

A CTA that matches the goal

“Like and follow” is what you write when you have not decided. Pick one outcome and the ending rewrites itself.

Caption and hashtags

A caption written to be pasted, ending in nine hashtags mixed from broad reach, your niche, and your actual topic.

Optional AI rewrite

Happy with the structure but want the words? One button rewrites that script around your exact topic. Still free, still no key.

ReelsTikTokYouTube Shorts

Works anywhere short-form does

Hook, beats and CTA are the same on all three platforms. Swap the hashtags and slow the opening slightly for Shorts.

Nothing between you and the script

The generator runs in your browser. Results appear instantly, nothing is stored, and you can regenerate as many times as you like.

How to use the Reels script generator

  1. Type your topic the way you'd say it out loud. "using ChatGPT to write cold emails" works far better than "AI". The more specific your input, the less generic every line comes out.
  2. Pick your niche. This drives the hashtag set and who the script talks to — a script for home cooks is paced differently from one for business owners.
  3. Choose a length. 15 seconds forces one idea. 30 seconds is the sweet spot for saves. 60 seconds only works if you genuinely have five beats of value.
  4. Set the tone and the goal. The goal changes the call to action — a Reel built for saves ends completely differently from one built for comments.
  5. Generate, then fill the blanks. Every script has ____ gaps on purpose. Those are the parts only you can write: your number, your mistake, your proof. That's what stops the Reel sounding like everyone else's.

Hit Regenerate as many times as you like — you'll get different hook angles each time. Copy a single script, copy just the caption, or download all three as a text file.

What actually makes a Reels script work

A Reel doesn't fail because the editing was bad. It fails in the first two seconds, or in the middle where nothing happens. Here's what the structure in this generator is built around.

1. The hook has to make a promise or a problem

You have roughly two seconds before the thumb moves. A hook works when it either names a problem the viewer recognises ("if X isn't working for you, it's probably this") or promises a specific payoff fast ("explained in under 30 seconds"). What doesn't work: introducing yourself, saying "hey guys", or explaining what the video will be about. Start at the point.

The generator labels the hook formula it used — curiosity gap, mistake callout, contrarian, before/after — so you can see why a line works and reuse the pattern later without the tool.

2. Every beat needs a job

The middle is where most Reels lose people. Each beat in your script should do exactly one thing: name the problem, explain why the usual fix fails, give the real fix, handle the objection, show proof. If you can't say what a beat is for, cut it and give the time to the others.

That's why this tool gives you timestamps rather than a wall of text. If a beat needs more than about eight seconds at 30-second length, it's two beats pretending to be one.

3. On-screen text carries the video

A large share of Reels are watched on mute, and many viewers never turn the sound on. Every beat in the generated script comes with a short on-screen text line — three to five words, not a transcript. If someone watched your Reel silently and only read the text, they should still get the point.

4. The CTA has to match what you actually want

"Like and follow" is the CTA people use when they haven't decided what the Reel is for. Pick one outcome and ask for it plainly: saves ("save this so you actually do it"), comments (give them a single word to type), shares ("send this to the person who needs it"), or clicks. The generator swaps the ending based on the goal you choose, because the same script with the wrong ending converts nothing.

Three Reels script templates you can steal

If you'd rather write it yourself, these are the three structures the generator builds from. They work in almost any niche.

The fix (best for saves)

Hook: name the problem → Beat 1: why the common approach fails → Beat 2: the actual fix, specific → Beat 3: the detail people get wrong → CTA: save it.

The contrarian take (best for comments)

Hook: state the popular advice, then reject it → Beat 1: what that advice costs you → Beat 2: what works instead → Beat 3: handle the obvious objection → CTA: ask what they think.

The before and after (best for follows)

Hook: where you started → Beat 1: the turning point → Beat 2: exactly what you changed → Beat 3: the result, with a number → CTA: follow for the rest.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Instagram Reels script generator really free?

Yes — completely. No account, no email, no trial. The instant scripts run entirely in your browser, and the optional AI rewrite uses a free public endpoint. There is no paid tier to upgrade to.

Do I need to sign up or log in?

No. Nothing is stored, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you press "Sharpen with AI" — in which case only your topic and settings are sent, never anything identifying you.

Why are there blanks in the script?

Because the specifics are what make a Reel worth watching, and no generator knows your numbers, your client, or your mistake. The blanks mark the three or four places where your own detail goes. Filling them takes about a minute and is the difference between a script that sounds like you and one that sounds like a template.

What does "Sharpen with AI" do?

It rewrites that one script so every line is written around your exact topic instead of slotted into a structure — including filling most of the blanks. It takes around 15 seconds because it runs on a free shared AI endpoint. If it's busy, your instant script is still there and still works.

Can I use these scripts for TikTok and YouTube Shorts?

Yes. The hook, beat and CTA structure is the same across all three platforms. The only thing you'd change is the hashtag set and, for YouTube Shorts, a slightly slower opening.

How long should an Instagram Reel be in 2026?

For most creators, 20 to 35 seconds performs best, because it's long enough to deliver one complete idea and short enough to be rewatched. Go to 60 seconds only when you genuinely have five beats of value — padding is punished harder than brevity.

Will this get my Reels to go viral?

No tool can promise that, and anything that does is selling you something. What a good script does is remove the two most common reasons Reels flop: a weak first two seconds, and a middle with no structure. The rest is your topic, your delivery and posting consistently.
